I never saw him in town, at the train station or going door-to-door to solicit votes. I even went to a rally for him, and he didn’t even stay for the entire event. If he wants to win, he has to stop “phoning it in” and do some hard work. If he isn’t willing to do that, we need a new candidate.

The seat was considered safe, and it’s doubtful any serious observer would have said at the start that it was possible for the incumbent to lose. Dan stood up for better representation anyway, because his motivation is making the world a better and safer place for his children. Not only did he stand up, but he almost won, because he is a charismatic candidate brimming with well-articulated solutions to the problems facing our district and our country. Now that the seat is open, there is no one else I would place my trust in to win the seat and represent our district.

I said to my daughter ‘I wish he represented my district!’ It turned out my daughter actually lived in the 10th. Unfortunately, I live a couple blocks from the 10th, but I still work for Dan because I believe he will represent all of us with wisdom and integrity.
I’ve made a point of going to see him speak and to show my support at schools, union halls, fundraisers and parades. He even went to Iowa and canvassed with all of us for Obama. Over that time he has become a person that I consider a sincere friend. He really cares about this community.
