Seals Leads on Issues at Second Candidate Forum

At a packed house at Am Shalom synagogue in Glencoe, Illinois, Dan led the pack of four Democratic and four Republican candidates who showed up to share their competing visions for the Tenth District. It was a wide ranging discussion covering health care reform, Iran, campaign finance reform and support for Israel.
”Many know that Israel is our one true Democracy in the Middle East and are our partner in fighting terrorism, but in our community they are more than that, they are part of our family,” Seals said. Seals travelled to Israel in 2006 to gain first-hand knowledge of the region.
Seals reiterated his support for the public option in the ongoing national health care debate and stated that he would have voted against the “Stupak amendment” that was attached to the health care legislation this past weekend and fundamentally restricts women’s reproductive rights.
